- Tables with pipe-separated columns survive as pipe characters in the .txt output, but column alignment depends on whether spaces were used for padding in the source. Review any table-heavy documents after conversion, since tight columns without spacing become unreadable runs of text separated only by the pipe character.
- Hyperlinks in Markdown use the format [link text](https://url) — after conversion to .txt, the URL survives only if your converter is configured to append it in parentheses. If not, the URL is silently dropped and the output reads only the link text, with no way to recover the destination from the .txt file alone.
