2. Service Description & Tiers

KaijuConverter provides online file conversion, compression, OCR, and media inspection across 201+ file formats, 3,208+ conversion pairs, and 45 Studio tools. The platform is offered under a free tier (up to 25 MB per file and 10 files per batch) and optional paid tiers as detailed on our Pricing Page:

• 24-Hour Day Pass (€4.99 one-time payment): Instant 24-hour access to files up to 1 GB, batches up to 50 files, priority processing, and zero ads. No recurring billing or subscription.
• Starter (€3/month), Pro (€9/month), Business (€12/month), and API (€29/month): Monthly recurring plans processed via Stripe with one-click cancellation at any time.

3. Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy (EU Consumer Rights)

All payments are securely processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited (Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA, and credit/debit cards).

• Zero Lock-In Cancellation: Monthly subscriptions (Starter, Pro, Business, API) can be canceled at any time from your Dashboard or by contacting support; your plan remains active until the end of the paid billing cycle with no penalty.
• 24-Hour Day Pass: Expires automatically 24 hours after purchase without any renewal or recurring charge.
• Refund Guarantee & EU Directive 2011/83/EU: If a technical error prevents you from converting your files under a paid plan or Day Pass, contact hello@kaijuconverter.com within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.

4. Your Intellectual Property & File Confidentiality

You retain 100% ownership and copyright of all files you upload or convert. KaijuConverter claims zero rights over your content, never uses your files to train AI/ML models, and never inspects your documents manually.

Source uploads are automatically purged within 30 minutes, and converted output files are automatically purged within 60 minutes (guests) or 24 hours (registered accounts), or immediately (0 seconds) when you click "Delete file from server now".

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use KaijuConverter to:

• Upload or process unlawful material under Spanish, European Union, or international law.
• Upload malware, exploit payloads, zip bombs, or files designed to disrupt server resources.
• Process files that infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of third parties.
• Circumvent rate limits or abuse free-tier infrastructure via unauthorized automated scraping.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

KaijuConverter provides cryptographic SHA-256 checksums for converted files so you can verify integrity upon download. However, the service is provided "as is" and you are responsible for keeping a backup copy of your original files. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under Spanish or EU law (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007).

7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Spanish and European Union law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the courts of Granada, Spain, without prejudice to the mandatory jurisdiction of the consumer's place of residence within the European Union.
