What Is PSD?
PSD (Photoshop Document) is Adobe Photoshop's native file format storing full layer structure, adjustment layers, masks, and smart objects. It can only be opened natively in Photoshop and a handful of other apps (GIMP, Affinity Photo). Converting PSD to PNG flattens all layers into a single universally viewable image. PNG preserves transparency — if your PSD has a transparent background, the PNG output will too.
How to Convert PSD to PNG
- Go to the PSD to PNG converter.
- Upload your .psd file.
- Click Convert — ImageMagick flattens the layer composite and exports as PNG.
- Download the PNG file.
